Gift Aid Consultation
13th December 2007
Jane Kennedy MP, who is the Financial Secretary to the Treasury, has announced the publication of the summary of responses to the Treasury’s Gift Aid consultation. Over 300 people and a diverse range of organisations submitted responses.
She said:
“I have been delighted with both the number of third sector representatives who have contributed to the Gift Aid consultation and the wide range of views that we have received. We all want to see the take up of Gift Aid improve and I hope that this consultation will be the first step to making that a reality. I look forward to working with sector representatives in taking a closer look at some of the areas raised and would like to thank everyone for their input into such a valuable process”.
The Treasury, with members of the third sector and Government officials, will investigate the issues raised, in time for Budget 2008. Further details will be posted on the Gift Aid consultation page on the HM Treasury website.
