Tax payments through ATMs

Business Standard reports that the income tax department in India has some modern ideas, including plans to allow tax payment through ATMs.
It will also set up a Directorate of Taxpayer Services to address taxpayer grievances and educate them on tax matters. They will set up technology for faster payment of refunds and for sending text messages to disseminate information to taxpayers.
